Let Go of ?Generic Fear?

Even though entrepreneurs are normally optimistic, it is hard to stay upbeat with talk of recession and economic malaise.

There’s a lot of it going around ? fear, that is.

Entrepreneurs are known for being optimistic, of seeing opportunities where others see disaster. But lately, what with talk of recession and economic malaise, some days it’s hard for an entrepreneur to stay upbeat.

Uneasiness, anxiety or even raw fear can creep in when we are surrounded by gloom. In that environment, if we happen to have a bit of a cash crunch, or a lull in new clients, we may wonder if our natural optimism is a delusion.

Business with Soul

One of the joys of being an entrepreneur is that we get to make it up as we go along. We can use our businesses, not only to make a profit and provide a service, but to be a vehicle for expressing and attracting our soul’s desires.

What Marathons Can Teach You About Your Business Part 1

I finished walking my first marathon in San Diego a week ago. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But, it was also an amazing accomplishment.

One thing that struck me while hoofing it toward the finish line was the similarities between running a business and running a marathon (or in my case, walking a marathon). I’ll cover 5 altogether — 2 this week and 3 next.

1. It’s all about the mind. There was a quote posted around 18, 19 miles that said “I run marathons because after mile 20, it’s all about your mind.” Or something like that. (My cognitive skills were fading at that point.)
