When you buy foreclosed homes, you are actually doing the bank or the lender a big favor by taking the property off their shoulders, by giving them back what has been owed to them by the previous homeowner. The banks or the lenders are not mainly after profit, but simply to sell the properties with as little time as possible. Because of this, foreclosed properties are a good place to start when you are looking for that great deal because properties are often sold much lower than their actual market value.

With this changing world, its inhabitants as well as their demands have changed a lot beyond recognition. Man is no more satiated with the minimum and basic requirements of life. Everybody wants to relish the best of all things, be it food, garments or shelter. Though it is a characteristic of all human beings that they are never satiated with what they get. They always want to have more and more. There is no end of their wish list. But this urge of man to get more, has also helped him to wade through all obstacles of life. It has also acted as a source of inspiration to move forward. And the word shelter carries more weight as it displays one’s living standard and strength.

Well ladies and gents, I have once again been humbled. This happened last Saturday. Please don’t try this at home. My Father-in-law called and wanted to take our 5 year old to the carnival. I was going to take him, but my Father-in-law wanted my wife to go as well.

Should I move out?

The first important thing to consider is will remain in your home or move out for the duration of the project. If your project involves any substantial remodeling of existing spaces, I urge you to move to temporary quarters. What do I mean by substantial? Well if it is anything more than painting or floor coverings, the work is substantial. Work that involves moving walls, reworking electrical, plumbing or mechanical systems can make your home unlivable. Rent the movie “The Money Pit” and see what I mean. On the other hand, if you are having an addition to your home, you may be able to remain and not be overly affected by the work. You should discuss your options with your architect/designer early on in the project.
